The Vietnamese Perilla Frutescens seeds, also known as Tia To, provide a delightful herb with a unique flavor profile. These seeds enable you to grow your own aromatic and versatile Perilla plants in your garden.

This Vietnamese perilla has smaller leaves and a stronger, aromatic flavor than Japanese perilla. The topside of the leaf is deep green and the underside deep red-purple. Often also grown as an ornamental accent in the garden.

The Health Benefits of Perilla Frutescens: As a popular herb and used a lot in daily life, perilla can be eaten raw or used as a spice to cook many different dishes.

With high nutritional value including vitamins A, C, Ca, Fe and P; perilla is not only used to prepare delicious dishes but also cure diseases.

How to sow: Sow 4- 8 seed into an individual small pot ( 2 inches) with a soilless multi-purpose compost mix, which can then be topped up with extra compost as needed to provide more stability and encourage root growth as the seedling grows. Use food wrap to cover the pot and water well with a fine spray once a day.

Transplanting: Seedlings should be planted out when they have developed four true leaves. To prepare them for the big move, be sure to harden them off for one to two weeks before transplanting, providing gradual exposure to gentle winds, sunlight, and temperatures outdoors.
